Lost and Found Department

Lost and Found Department was a series of evenings of curated lo-fi musical performances documented according to our manifesto of ‘performances in unique locations, authentically captured’. We approached video artist Andrew Philips to create a backdrop of moving and engaging video images.

I co-created the event concept and was jointly responsible for the video art curation and the spatial design of the event. I was also responsible for the video documentation and audio engineering/recording. Recordings were captured through a DAV Broadhurst Garden No1 mic pre into a Lynx Aurora and edited in Logic X. Video edited in Final Cut. Hosted artists including Found, Player Piano, Viking Moses, Golden Ghost, Steve Beresford, Will Connor, John Butcher, and Laetitia Sadier of Monade and Stereolab. The outcome was an event that attracted its own audience, with recordings continuing to be watched on YouTube.
